From Phoenix, Arizona to Mallorca

When Trevor and Judy Hill first arrived in Mallorca by boat, they weren’t planning to settle, only to pause between adventures. After more than six years sailing the world and visiting over 40 countries, the island slowly revealed itself as a place where freedom and belonging could coexist. What began as a stopover evolved into a decision to create a new home in the village of Alaró.

In conversation with Helen, they reflect on leaving corporate life behind after the 2008 financial crisis and committing fully to life at sea. Through the Oyster World Rally and years of bluewater sailing, they learned to work as a team, embrace uncertainty, and design a life driven by curiosity rather than routine. Sailing became both their lifestyle and a metaphor for freedom.
